The Allure in black. The same French racing instrument as the Mint Green, dressed for night: a black dial with an orange central seconds hand, three subdials, a tachymeter flange, and an integrated racing-link bracelet on a tonneau-cushion steel case.

03 / Editorial story
A reason to look again.
Depancel builds motorsport-minded watches in France, and the Allure is its chronograph. The Black keeps the layout that made us stop at the Mint Green — three subdials doing three jobs, a sixty-minute counter, petites secondes and a twenty-four-hour indication — and sets it on a black dial where the orange centre seconds does all of the talking.
The case is tonneau-cushion steel carrying an integrated racing-link bracelet, the tachymeter flange sits where a racing instrument's should, and the whole thing reads purposeful rather than decorated.
